Sundal and Tea



soaked chik pea - 200g
small onion chopped - 1 cup
mustard seeds - 1 spoon
urad dal - 1 poon
asafoetida - a pinch
green chilli - 1
turmeric powder - a pinch
curry leaves to garnish
salt to taste
oil - 2 spoons


Pressure cook the chick pea. Drain the water. Heat the oil in pan. Add mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves, chilli, asafoetida. after mustard seeds spurt out, add onions, turmeric powder, salt and chick Pea. Stir it and close the lid. Allow it to cook for 5 min in low flame and serve hot.

Tips to get soaked chick pea in a hour: Soak the chick peas in very hot water for an hour and pressure cook with 5-6 whistles. Thats it, your chick peas are ready for sundal.
